Following the rather surprising letters in last week’s Buteman in which the very basis of western society was questioned (Das Kapital anyone?) another letter hit the pages of the local paper.
In his letter Mr Robin Dow artfully questions why wind power is being promoted.

It’s all admirable stuff and beautifully written but there are quite some doubts about the Renewable Energy Foundation, expressed not only by green groups but by the national media.
As they say on their own web site, ‘Rolls-Royce is a global business providing integrated power systems for use on land, at sea and in the air’.
Perhaps their experts are more interested in gas-powered than wind-powered turbines?
Whatever Mr Dow may think the answer, to us it seems, is printed alongside his own letter in this week’s paper..
